Collects and collates evidence as part of a formally conducted and planned review of
activities, processes, products or services;
Examines records as part of specified testing strategies for evidence of compliance with
management directives, or the identification of abnormal occurrences;
Prepares formal reports in order to provide independent assurance on an organization's,
integrity and resilience.
Supervises all client external audits under his responsibility
Assists the audited groups during the visits by the external auditors
Manages issues between the external auditors and the groups being audited
Supports the audited groups during implementation of the solutions concerning the
observations/qualifications.
Analyses the reports and evidences given to the external auditors by the audited groups
when necessary.
Helps develop management action plans
Assists the project manager during the development of the project plan and the WBS
When needed, meets with the client regarding auditing activities
Develops new controls (SAS 70 and 5970), in collaboration with the analyst when a new
service is added
Validates the new controls with the audited members
Trains and informs the audited groups
Key Responsibilities
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 5 years applicable experience in Information Technology security or;
A minimum of 5 years applicable experience in Information Technology auditing and an aspiration to acquire experience in Information Technology security
Information Technology security (essential)
Knowledge of ISO 27001, 27002, Sarbanes-Oxley, C-198
Information technology (important)
Good knowledge of the major operating systems (Ex : Windows, Unix, Z/OS,AS/400)
Knowledge of auditing tools (ex : ESM) an asset
Information technology auditing (an important asset)
Has executed or participated in audits (5900, SAS70, internal audits)
